I think part of the reason why his decisions making was poor early in his career was because, as I pointed out, he thinks he can make plays that he can't. As he matured as a player and got better coaching his decisions improved and he threw for a >65% completion. His raw talent is in the to tier of all NFL Qb's. It's going to be a matter of harnessing that talent and putting it to work. Plus he's just intimidating as hell to look at IRL. The TV doesn't do him justice. [/ QUOTE ] I have never seen someone hit full force by a 280lb D lineman, look over his shoulder at him, then look upfield for a receiver, not find any, realize he is going to eventually go down, and throw the ball away to avoid a sack -- all in less than a second. Eh, whatever. It's impossible to say he will be worth all the money the Raiders are paying him right now. I hope he has a good career, but it seems like drafting QBs in the NFL is an inherently risky proposition. Sometimes you get John Elway, sometimes you get Ryan Leif.

Russell's ok, if he would've stayed for a year longer I'd like his prospects better. He's kinda high variance/unknown for a guy getting $32 m guaranteed.
