[/ QUOTE ] I don't know if this alone is enough to make him scum, but he has been known to engage in player abuse, which certainly ain't on the good guy side of the scales. We tend to give him a pass for it around here because he's such entertaining TV, but I'm still not a big fan of player abuse. Anybody remember the "big man, very little balls" comment (or however it went) to Raymer? Pure class that man.

needling greg raymer is a 2/10 on the scum scale IMO.
I'm sure if Greg was asked how he feels about MM, he would say "mike is mike". That is just who he is, and mike never tries to hurt ppl on purpose, if he ever comes off looking like he trying on hurt someone, he is prolly loaded on blow, or having an adrenaline rush from poker. I still fail to see a shred of evidence that proves me wrong. Scum is like the absolute poker guy who willingly [censored] everyone he could. That is scum. Talking trash at the table in a playful manner is not scum. What if that was just some random guy that ppl would never see again instead of greg? no one would care. I think ppl overreacted b/c greg is such a class act, and didnt deserve being needled, but IMO MM is just being mike, and he really does respect the guys he plays w/ (including greg). The fallow up year when greg finished like 28th or something in the ME, mike went on to say how it was one of the greatest achievement in poker history, and how bad he felt for greg when he busted b/c some donkey played some trash hand and sucked out on greg. So ya, IMO from what I have seen, MM is not scum compared to fellow gamblers. Once again, there could be details i am overlooking.

He borrowed money from someone on a short term loan, dodged him for over a month and when the guy confronted him in FTP chat because Mike wouldnt take his calls Mike basically turned round and told him he wouldnt pay him because he was being to insistant in being paid back.
Im sure this is just the tip of the iceberg, ive heard much more rumoury stuff along the same lines where he has dodges the smaller creditors. This is ignoring the fact he is a convicted drug dealer.

I like Mike no matter what anybody says. He's not much better/worse than they typical losing degenerate poker player. I hope he gets his act together one day because otherwise I think it is obvious that he will either commit suicide or have a heart attack. I also think he will never win his weight loss bet with Ted Forrest. For a person who has impulse control issues food can be the most difficult thing to beat. Good luck Mike.
