200PS: Flopz the nutz, burnz the turnz
Villain is 'Jordi', a Stars regular. He plays a pretty semi-tight passive style, not a nut-pendler though. Basically, he calls a fair amount PF, but rarely gets out of line postflop.
Need help with the turn. Poker Stars Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $106 Hero: $619.25 SB: $206.50 BB: $362.90 Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is Button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB checks. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($8, 4 players) SB bets $7.6, BB folds, UTG calls, Hero raises to $37.6, SB calls, UTG folds. Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($90.8, 2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $64, SB raises all-in $166.9, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: $102.9 returned to SB. Results: Final pot: $218.8 |

Re: 200PS: Flopz the nutz, burnz the turnz
I don't really see the fold on the turn. I cant imagine villian having jtxx here unless it is jt99. This looks much more like a set or the same straight.

Oh yeah, and I have seen villain slowplay flops before, and c/r turn. He's also c/r turn when improving on the river. I just don't know if he is doing this with 7T enough(and then it's often a split).

Re: 200PS: Flopz the nutz, burnz the turnz
In order to fold this turn you need to put him on 88TJ, 99TJ or 89TJ and if you did that you should have done it after his flop call in which case you shouldn`t have bet the turn.

Yeah. I also forgot jt87 as a possible jtxx hand. I understand the fold, but man I would have a hard time giving it up.

Check behind turn if you aren't bet calling

Looks like a call to me.
2nd nuts is huge heads up. If you are sure he never gets out of line I suppose you can fold, I would never be that sure. |

[ QUOTE ]
why cant he have 1000 other combinations of JTxx? [/ QUOTE ] Because I misread the hand and thought that TJ only has a gut shot. So you are right, even a tight player will call the flop raise most of the time with OESD. It doesn`t change my original idea though that you shouldn`t bet the turn if you are not calling a raise. |

Re: 200PS: Flopz the nutz, burnz the turnz
If u bet turn u gotta make a crying call...
I would like to mix it up a bit and check here. On a blank i call any bet or VB myself, does it pair ill fold to a bet from him + it can easy induce a bluff from him as well if u check behind |
