Re: AKs, no cbet
Check-folding is OK. Cbetting probably isn't that great.
Check-calling is probably best, but can be tricky and needs postflop reads versus our opponent. |

I just bet it, 40 looks good. [/ QUOTE ] I think every PP calls or raises this bet. I also think that every hand we dominate will fold or make a move, causing us to fold. It's an ugly spot and c-betting is the easiest play, but not the most optimal. I'd rather check-call. We give ourselves a chance to pair on the turn with very clean outs. Plus, he might check behind and continue checking until the river. Also, we can bluff certain opponents if a Queen or Jack hits. |

Re: AKs, no cbet
I usually c/f against unknowns and bet against ppl whom I have history with and in the right circumstances. I find c/c a very interesting option, I'll try to experiment with it.

Re: AKs, no cbet
c/f looks perfectly fine here. a lot of his range will call, so id only cbet this if i was willing to double barrel.

Re: AKs, no cbet
c/f is perfectly fine, so is leading, c/c is bad.

That said, I do agree with some of what you've said and I c/c here a certain percentage of the time. It's close to optimal against some opponents. I also c/r against some, c/f against some and bet against some. Against this guy, looking at his stats only, I probably just bet it for value and may pay off a value bet/pick off a bluff somewhere along the way unimproved if I get called. |
