So when is it ok to wear a dated shirt? If I've got a WSOP 2005 shirt, can I wear that at 07? How about an 04 shirt? A 1979?

I'm on the side of those who think your OP makes you look like more of a dbag than some 40-year old mother of three who had fun at Hilton Head, but I may be biased by having just read your posts in the "Cuba Gooding" thread.

4. Wearing last year's clothing to this year's event. You people who are wearing the last tour shirt of the band you are seeing tonight; you people who are wearing "US OPEN 2005" gear to the 2006 US Open; you fellas that are wearing "WSOP 2006" gear to the 2007 WSOP -- do you know how asinine you look? Do you have any friends?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you supposed to burn them after the year is up? Or are you forced to invest in a duplicate with a new year on it, to satisfy your problem with this?

[/ QUOTE ]

You wear them anywhere other than next year's event.

i think the same thing at a college campus when people are wearing the classic college hooded sweatshirt. i have never had a single person agree with me however. this isnt so much douchebag-y as it is sad on a deep deep level.

as for my contributions to the list:

-anybody that has ever crashed a wedding (pre/post movie but definitely post). when i heard of somebody that did this, i have never so quickly labeled somebody a douche in my life

-the guy trying desperately to convince a bouncer to let friends in off the line when a bar is at capacity by pretending to be important. (im opposed to waiting in line to get into a bar but i've done it more than i'd like)

-http://www.hotchickswithdouchebags.com/ (not that its new but its a reminder)

-more in my head, just cant think of em...

I'll give you #1
#2 is a no my guess is you are in no part of a fraternity you assuptions about all of them are way to general.

#3 I don't golf

#4 you are out of your mind, I would be curious to what kind of music you listen to, my guess is some Fall Out Boy and other gay pop crap. Wearing a shirt that supports your favorite band can almost never be a douche move.

I'm tending to agree with the idea that people are confusing "lame" with "douchebag". Here are a couple examples of what I consider a douchebag:

1. A-hole on a cell phone who doesn't move over when I'm trying to merge on the freeway.

2. Hot shot business man in an office supply or computer store who starts ragging on a clerk because he's too stupid to even know what he really wants.

3. Old guy in Burger King who wants a "plain" Rodeo Cheeseburger. "So you want a plain hamburger?" "No, I want a plain Rodeo Cheeseburger". "So do you want cheese and BBQ sauce on it?" "NO! I want it plain! Are you deaf or something?!"

THESE are douchebags.

[/ QUOTE ]

You are bringing up people's actions and those aren't really "marks". You must observe them in action to determine their douchiness.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you ignoring what you wrote in your OP, in which you opined about someone's possible douchebag nature solely by their appearance? Or are you unable to troll with consistency?

[/ QUOTE ]

You need to try harder at reading.

There are some interesting douchebag indicators mentioned here. What's more interesting has been the level of arguing about them. I have re-evaluated my opinion of several posters as a result of this thread, so it must be good!

As far as indicators go, I've been in Italy so long that I have to go with what I have over here. My number 1 douchebag indicator is anyone who has a Ferrari tag on their non-Ferrari car.

Douchebag.

My second indicator is anyone with one of those 'baby on board' stickers on their cars. Not only are they douchebags, but I'm more inclined to get into an accident with them.

My third douchebag indicator, and a very realiable one, is somebody wearing a bum bag. I think you call them something else in America, but they're those pouches that you clip around your waiste to keep random stuff in.

Douchebag.
