Need some help to start data mining

I'm not sure if this post belongs here or the software section but here it goes.

I plan to play at partypoker in a month from now, and would like to start recording some hand histories for 25NL 6max before playing with real money.

This is where I am really confused and was hoping someone could talk me through the process.

So far partypoker is installed, I have 4 tables running and downloaded the program: FreePHG.

This is saving the hands with .hhf extensions.

Is this all I need to do for now to start data mining?
I assume when pokertracker gets setup it can import all those.hhf files?

Another issue is, I am getting a message from partypoker that I have been away for an extended period of time and my connection is being terminated. Is there some way to get around this? running the tables over night was my intent.
