here is what I got, hopefully the book (players only, a sportbook.com site) won't cancel the bets

[/ QUOTE ]

How do you think this will go if they do? I, of course, intend to lay most of my bets back off in the new market but want to make sure whether I have action on these before I do. Will they tell you that there's no action before the event starts? There aren't any books that will wait until after, are there? I want to keep myself from holding the bag on the winner.

[/ QUOTE ]

who knows. most reputable places would let the bets go, but some may call "no action" in the next couple of hours or something, and return the bets...but this would be pretty shady. I'm just guessing here, I really don't know.

[/ QUOTE ]

So by this standard, if it would be pretty shady to not call "no action" if they're going to when they remake the market later today, then it would be downright fraudulent to wait until the event starts to do so, I'm guessing.

[/ QUOTE ]

no, I would think any action would be swift. I don't know if specific books have rules on "rider must start race" or clauses for this kind of stuff or not.

Almost all books are going to be caveat emptor on this. If your rider gets suspended later today or doesn't start for whatever reason, I'd be quite surprised if you haven't done your dough.

WSEX closed the betting, but my bets are still lsted in the report, so I guess they will be honoured.

....It will be very open and exciting.

Are you kidding? Le Tour will be lame and totaly uinteressting. Like a Danish commentator said: "Like a Western movie without John Wayne"

Man the cycling sport is totally [censored] up. There were 198 riders ready for Le Tour. Obviously all 198 of them are heavily doped. So let them for crying out loud. It will still about who rides his bike fastest.

Now it's just a game of seek and hide. Get caught, you're out.

[censored] Le Tour. [censored] Jean-Marie Le Blanc. [censored] cycling

Well, I think the bomb about Ullrich and Basso is pretty interesting.

Astana-Wurth team out, so I assume Vinkourov isn't racing.

A team has to have a certain number of riders to be allowed to participate.
