Does it suck to drive with steering wheel on the left side in England?
Serious question, I have no problem driving on the left side, but have always used a local car for that. Now I am considering bringing a "normal" car there, is that hard to drive?

LOLZ FOr the 5 years I spent in UK, I actually found it MUCH easier to drive a left hand drive motor on the left handed roads. When I rented a right hand drive car I seriously whacked out about 10 wing mirrors in a week.

Ok, thx. Yeah, I see it can be easier, since you quickly get too far left with a "right-handed" when you are not used to.

It can be quite tricky but I've found it helps if you sit in the seat on the right.

Re: Does it suck to drive with steering wheel on the left side in Engl
Its ok except for 2 things:
1 - When you want to pass somebody you can't see around them into oncoming traffic very easily. 2 - If you are on a windy road and are going around a sweeping left curve you can't see much of the road ahead of you. (Tthis is a problem for me cuz I live in the caribbean - maybe not that bad in UK - we have tons of narrow windy roads and when you're coming around those corners you can barely see where you're going or whether there are any goats or cows in the road!) |

If it's just for a couple of weeks on holiday, you'll be fine. Loads of people do it.
If you're thinking long term, best to get a proper LHD car I reckon. |

wouldn't right turns be really difficult, I mean not being able to see oncoming traffic?
