one of my old bosses made it very clear that he didn't want a funeral and his family honored his wishes.

The family was overwhelmed by the numbers. The crazy part is that this girl died from an apparent suicide.

I'm not sure why you included this. Are you saying because she ended her own life, it shouldn't be commemorated? Or the grieving process is somehow cheapened or lessened for the living? Please explain.

I think he was saying that
-having that many friends/people who care about you
does not go with
-being depressed enough to commit suicide.

At least I hope that's what he was saying.

Now, he's still wrong, but it's not as bad as in your interpretation.

edit: oh, didn't see that Klompy said this already

I'm sure for a lot of people I know it would depend on who else was going.

If you died today, how would you feel about your life?

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
I don't know, I wouldn't feel anything good about my life, is that what you want to hear me say?

[/ QUOTE ]

I plan on allocating the money that would be spent on a funeral and instead spending it on an open bar. Hopefully there's enough whisky around to recreate Tim Finnegan's wake.

As others have mentioned I just wouldn't think that someone who touched so many lives and had so many people care about her could still bring herself to end her life. Like I said before I just don't think I'll ever understand it.

I think I'd expect around 100 people maybe. When you're just a few years out of high school, you still keep in touch with all of those people, so I think a lot of them would come, and I was pretty friendly with about everyone in high school.

By the way, anyone who is reading this: If I die, tell my folks to cremate me and spread the ashes over the Long Island Sound please

i think it is. obv it is still sad that they died, but it seems strange grieving the death of someone who wanted to die.
