Default NFL Schedule released

I think this is a big enough event to warrant a seperate thread from the general off season thread.

WTF is wrong with NBC.

They are taking the Dallas at Philadelphia as a Sunday night game instead of New England at Indianapolis?

Pats at Colts is not a prime time game. How unbelievable is this?

noodle - assuming that this was NBC's decision (and I assume it was) that is just really strange.

Are the ratings somehow expected to be bigger?
Indy/NE has been the top reg-season matchup for a few years as far as I'm concerned.

Personally I am tired of seeing the same old teams in prime time. Dallas and Philly are probably the most annoyingly overexposed teams in the NFL. Redskins up there as well. Of course closely followed by NE and Indy, but at least theirs are because of recent success.

Obviously I'm biased, but I would have to assume that most non-biased NFL fans would, if asked to choose the single most important game on the schedule, would point to Colts - Pats.

The TO Philly angle is old news at this point, but NBC jumped all over it. What is even more confusing is that ESPN would take Baltimore at Pittsburgh.

actually I think Joey Porters emotional return to Pittsburgh is the most important game of the season. That HAS to be on MNF.

Baltimore Pittsburgh seems like a pretty good game to me. Interested to watch Pitt under Tomlin and Baltimore should be pretty solid again this year.

NoodleMan,

I am a Dallas fan and can understand how the whole Philly/Dallas--TO crap is way overexposed and is getting really old, I mean even us in Dallas are annoyed by it.

As an unbiased fan, I couldn't careless about the Colts/Pats on primetime or not. I don't know who you are a fan of but I am sick of all the NE overexposure personally. Indy gets exposed b/c of Peyton and they win a zillion games a year, plus it was always, "can they win the big game blah blah blah." But NE was right where many teams in the AFC were last year yet they are always going to be the spotlight...I dunno I guess the years past means they earned it.

Personally, I just want to watch a good game. The teams have some to do with this and I do agree that watching the same rotation of 5-6 teams gets old and I wouldn't mind mixing the Saints in there, they would be fun to watch.

Bengals on ESPN or NBC 3x. I'll take it I guess although I was hoping for a little more.
Not too long ago it was a super-huge deal just to get on once.
