theres a few obvious plays here,

one of them would be to immediately transfer 1k to a friend for safe keeping in the event the rest of your plan doesn't work out.

No transfers on bodog..

Cashouts on Bodog take less then a week now... this has been discussed for some time...

OP should have waited a while...cashed out $2,000... see what happens and chip dump/cash out in bigger amounts later. Not only would OP make some good money his friends would too.

That response from Calvin Arye is repulsive. People get bigger rewards for returning wallets and stuff $10 is truly an insult "thanks we value you saving us 1.3 million this much"

If that had happen to me, I would be driving a new car right now and quit my PT job while I'm at school.

You had two options to try and get this money out:

OPTION 1
Step 1: Cashout YOUR money
Step 2: Check account balance
Step 3: Realise that the mistake has been rectified

OPTION 2
Step 1: Chip dump
Step 2: Have account frozen and all funds confiscated.

Informing support was the most +EV action

Considering they only gave him $10 and if he really wanted to play at BODOG that bad after getting banned then he could just have signed up using a friend's name, then I'd say that informing support was by far the most -EV option.

I think people are giving a site which was dumb enough to accidentally credit somebody with $1.3M waaaay too much credit for catching the error and the OP had a significant chance of getting away with a good chunk of it before they realized (if they ever did).

As I've stated before in this thread, then at the very least it would force BODOG to spend more money on securing their systems, which requires they employ more staff, which equates to less personal profit for for the already sickeningly rich Calvin Ayre. Oh how I'd cry myself to sleep thinking he'd been denied a couple of fuelings for his private jet...

hmmm ... how long do you plan to play poker? Until the retirement? The market will dry up in few years. I don't plan to make seven-figures packet by playing poker poker and I doubt that OP or someone with 81 posts do (sorry). Maybe if you plan to win one of that big events.

Come on guys. Yea, it's risky. It's immoral. It's illegal (maybe). But it's like a truck with bear that overturns in a curve.
People don't cry "POLICE POLICE THERE'S AN ACCIDENT" they cry "FREE BEER !!! FREE BEER !!!"

both yes.

The problem is no-one would work then. The luck in life is the same evil as the luck in poker (there are some lagtards that win and you have to live with that). Otherwise it wouldn't work.

(b) might also have been yes, but I think the last century has kinda shown that communism doesn't really work in practice.

[/ QUOTE ]
maybe. But only about 1/6 of the world is educated and knows what "freedom" means. Maybe that 1/6 of the world would vote for "no". I'm not sure but I'm sure what the answer of the 80% of the world (they have about 20 of resources total) swould be.
