I have Madden for 360. While interceptions are occurring frequently, I'm having a harder time making them when I'm controlling the defender compared to older versions of the game. I also think it's harder to deflect passes while controlling the defender. I'm sure I just need to practice more, but does anyone else notice this? I often control a linebacker, drop back into coverage, and when the ball is thrown in my direction, I hit "Y" and he doesn't do anything and the balls go right by to the receiver. Maybe I need to be strafing earlier or tap "Y" instead of holding it? I feel helpless in pass coverage.

There's also a highlight stick move where the ball carrier extends his arm that's carrying the ball and does a ball-fake. It looks cool, but no one in the NFL does this.

i don't know if this is common madden knowledge or what, but those of you dealing with interceptions, don't press down to drop back in the pocket and throw off your back foot!!!! plays are designed with a certain 3/5/7/9 step drop for the QB, which they do automatically. Most routes are designed for the WR to become open as the QB finishes his route and "bounces" forward. This is especially true with west coast offenses. Throw the ball immediately when your quarterback finishes his drop and only use the stick to avoid the pass rush!

Is the Pats offense the best in the game?

I actually think I get MORE user picks than I did in previous versions, at least when compared to current gen systems.

For those having trouble moving the ball on offense, try using the "Bunch" or "Tight" formations, or "Stack" formations. Formations where all your WRs are close together. Examples would be Singleback Trips Bunch, Singleback Tight, Shotgun 5 Wide Bunch, etc. It helps with your reads(you only need to look at one area of the field) and also works against pretty much every defense.

Yes, Pats have the best O, followed closely by the Colts or Bengals IMO.

Pats offense is sick. Brady is money and Randy Moss is soooo nasty. I hope they do this well in the '08 season.

Chargers offense isn't too shabby either IMO.

I'm gettin on right now, add Killerwa1ski, I wanna see some 2p2 skills. Pick up your damn sticks.
