while he should prob take a break from PLO for a few days, the swings at the 200/400 level are absurd, the games run deep and often will have 400bb+ pots where its 55/45 60/40 run bad in those and it takes a while to recover

That's exactly the point, avoiding those situtaitons all together. I love playing PLO, but I honestly think if I had as much $ as sb I would stay away from PLO games that high. $1000 PL is still a significant amount of money for any rational person. He could go on 40 buy in downswings and not have to worry ab it.

lol, he could step down to 50/100 or something, but 1000pl would be pretty silly for him unless it was just to regain confidence.

Him playing 5/10 would be like me playing 10nl after not playing lower than 400nl for the last 6months-ish. No way I could take that seriously because the money seems meaningless.

SB goes on lifetilt and loses discipline and game selection, Im pretty sure even at the start of the year he didnt even play Omaha over 20k unless it was fishy?

that's the thing, he isn't bankrolled for 200-400 PLO shorthanded and HU. Practically no one in those games is. Aba had like 1.4M on FTP a month ago in a CR video? Playing 200-400 PLO with that little dollars is [censored] crazy. I had under $1m on FTP when I took shots playing 200-400 HU and 6 max NLHE and I thought I was taking a huge risk, even though I planned to quit if I lost a few buy-ins. 200-400 HU PLO is way way more variance and a much bigger game than NLHE. The whole "20 buy-ins, take a shot, rinse and repeat" thing is so absurd, I can't see that being a good idea no matter how good you are at poker...
