I couldn't agree more. Statistics and finance is like peanut butter and jelly. If I was going through college again, I'd double in finance and stat rather that what I actually did (finance & econ).

I would just major in finance and take some extra stats and accounting courses. Everyone in finance/ banking I have talked to have stressed the importance of knowing accounting. Then on your resume have related course work section that shows you took extra stats and accounting. You might also be able to take some graduate level finance courses.
