I'm not taking sides here, but to Mia's point when someone posts DIAGF, we don't expect they're actually going to show up with Crisco and matches.

That's a perfectly valid point. And having zero tolerance to even joking threats is a fine policy if that's what 2+2 wants.

But if that's the case, I don't see why nath should be allowed to out of the blue threaten someone with smashing their mailbox.

There's a big difference between threats of physical violence against people and threats to destroy property, both in the way they've been dealt with on these forums in the past and legally.

there are at least 3 active mods in oot. they will make these decisions.

physical threats, while not allowed, do not constitute an emergency which requires out of forum banning. and as i said above, the oot mods get to make the call on this one. that is, I'm leaving it to them to decide if there was an actual threat.


because jokes are allowed. i specifically abolished die of aids and die in a grease fire as I found them being overused. if the next catchy phrase spreading like bacteria is " i'm gonna knock your teeth out," i'll abolish that too.
