If he played it more aggro on the flop
If he had bet the flop, Dave would have c/r him (remember he had top two pair), and then he would have had to fold. I don't think there was any way for hero to win this pot under the circumstances; he just could have lost less by folding the turn or checking behind on the river. |

[/ QUOTE ] this works against more people than dave. also, i'd push turn a certain % of the time, but i'd still expect a call from dave in this specific hand (kinda looks like exactly what you have). fwiw, dave's pf call makes sense if you factor in implied odds and metagame. i personally think certain aspects of this hand show some leaks in dave's game, but i don't know the specifics of the context. |
