Turned straight raised on paired river....Pokah blows!!!
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)
No real reads on villain, just sat down at the table and dont think that he is a regular.... Generally anyone raising the river at this level thinks that he has the goods....however the definition of the goods varies between villains. What is our plan here, flatcall, shove, fold??? Provide reasons for why we should take these actions!!!! Hero (SB): $11.35 BB: $10.00 UTG: $4.10 MP: $10.20 CO: $32.00 BTN: $9.50 Preflop: Hero is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players) 2 folds, CO calls $0.10, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.05, BB checks Flop: ($0.30) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players) Hero checks, BB checks, CO checks Turn: ($0.30) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players) Hero bets $0.30, BB folds, CO calls $0.30 River: ($0.90) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $0.90, CO raises to $4.20 |

No raise on the turn, think I'd have to call.

I'd bet the flop from time to time. River bet is fine but it is an easy fold to the raise.

there's also the backdoor flush that came in. it takes a tad o discipline, but still a pretty clear fold.

Easy call. Marginally worried about the backdoor, but thats about it.

Re: Turned straight raised on paired river....Pokah blows!!!
From my experience of playing a lot of these low stake cgs id say villian calls here with any pair/any draw. It is very possible he figured you to have air/a draw/hit the 5.
The river raise could very well be trips. I might make a crying call here and take a note. As you said, the definition of good varies a lot between villains and trips look like quads to some. /LB |
