Re: NCAAF Week 9
Center's head went down, no idea what he was doing. Take a step and keep your head up, had nothing to do with speed.

Re: NCAAF Week 9
pretty weak blocking in the back call might hold V Tech in its place....it was definitely a block in the back outside the tackles, but it's sometimes over looked in that context

Re: NCAAF Week 9
I believe it was Mike Mayock on NFL Network's College Football Now that questioned if BC would remain confident in the new zone blocking scheme they brought in this year against V Tech's defensive package
good concern it turns out though is should only be 3-0, V Tech's D has whupped up on BC's offense -the secondary is locking down all pass routes -the d-line isn't given Ryan too much time -the rushing is hit or miss |

Re: NCAAF Week 9
I don't understand the zone blocking fad at all...its rare IMO for a team to do significantly better with it, and the downside is huge.

Re: NCAAF Week 9
OMG....how did Mark May say Les Miles is "On the Mark" for the way he managed last week's endgame? Apparently, Mr. May needs to read my blog on Miles' endgame blunder. Quit being results oriented in evaluating coaches Mr. May. Les Miles was a moron in that game and that is why he gets the rep he does.

Blocking an area >>>> scheme. I've played in both offenses and zone is soooo much better. BC has no cohesion, that is where it fault is. It's a fad because it is a dominating way to block. There is one major flaw and that is safety blitzes, but how many teams are willing to bring that safety up every play? |
