I'm assuming this is a value shove because he's definitely not folding a straight

I kinda like it.. but on the other hand; ppl just don't fold their straights often enough.

part of me likes the play, but i really think that he calls with a queen here almost every time, so if you can put him squarely on a queen, i think that you should check it down.

If he has the straight on the turn "always" - then you are drawing pretty slim, and could almost just fold the turn. I mean if he has the Q-high straight, you are drawing to 2 Q's and diamonds - not really a "ton" of outs. Worse yet, if he's straightforward, is he gonna call a push on the river when the diamond draw on the flop gets there on the river? I understand you are calling w/ the intention to bluff some rivers when you miss your draw - but thats a dicey proposition when you put him on a made straight. I'd like calling the turn more if he could have top and bottom pair or something similar as part of his range, that you can improve against in more ways than just diamonds and queens.

As played - i like the idea but in heads up matches people rarely fold top pair, much less a straight - especially w/ that much money in the pot.

I hate this. You want him to fold if the board pairs and call if a diamond hits. In my experience he will call both or fold both, and hes most likely gonna call

i cant imagine villian calling you with anything that doesnt have you beat.

idk, i think he can make a standard hero call with 66 if need be.

lol, this would be so awesome

But seriously, this looks like a standard tilty bad bluff, and you just did a tilty bad calldown on the other table. Your getting looked up by his QJ 95% here imo.

fwiw, im not defending my play in anyway. i was VERY tilty when this hand went down but i still thought it wasnt that bad.

he took a LOOOOONG time before checking the river, so it made me think that he was really upset about it and had no idea how to play the river.

so i made the decision tougher.

he timed all the way down on his 75 second timebank before making his decision.
