Re: Did I play this hand Badly? You Decide
I'm not sure why you played it the way you did. Preflop is pretty straightforward, then you chose to slowplay on the flop. That makes sense, but then why switch on the turn? Why not let JT or KJ draw for a straight, or AT, KQ or JJ feel confident, or 55 draw for a full house?
The only hand that beats you is AA, or possibly 99 with the case 9 on the river. AA is slowplaying you, no point in betting. There's some small value into forcing 99 out. But there's a lot more value in keeping every other hand in. With 2 pair on the flop, the slowplay is more dangerous. You could be up against a straight draw, trips or lots of other hands that could beat you. I think it's a good play, but the slowplay on the turn is much better. |

OP, your line is fine, nobody had anything, that's all. |

Re: Did I play this hand Badly? You Decide
I think his line was (censored) backwards. When he had a vulnerable hand he slowplayed. When it developed into almost the nuts, he bet big, even though there were river cards that would have resulted in his opponent getting stacked.

I hate the small mini-raise pre-flop . Either make a larger raise or don't raise at all .

[/ QUOTE ] Actually, Kd Jd and Kd Td have single-out straight-flush draws as well, but between the two opponents those three possibilities it's still about 1 in 10,000. The AA is about 1 in 500 -- 20 times more likely. |

Re: Did I play this hand Badly? You Decide
this is probably the very worst forum for advice.
RR more preflop. Bet the flop, there's too many hands you can get value from and you build a pot. You charge flush draws, get called by Ax, and often big queens. You could even bet small to entice a push. Go from there... |
