Anyone listen to the If I Were a Carpenter album? I've mentioned it before but it's a variety of mid-90s alt. artists covering Carpenter's songs. I like most of them; Dishwalla's "It's Going to Take Some Time" may be my favorite version. I also can't stand punk covers of pop or 80s songs. I think they take very little talent and contribute nothing. Also, I'm pretty sure a very similar thread was recently done.
