Default duplicate poker - whats the scoop?

All

Anyone know anything about duplicate poker? I just found out about it today. Supposed to be totally legal in US. Anyone playing/can provide details? If this is already posted somewhere else here please direct me (not to the one in French, I found that one ).

Default Re: duplicate poker - whats the scoop?

I believe its a form of poker when the deck is "rigged", so that the same hands and boards are dealt for each hand for every table of a tournament. So like if you were playing a duplicate poker tournament, and were in seat 2 and dealt AA, every player at seat 2 in the tournament will be dealt AA, and so on and so forth. It is designed to remove the luck out of a tournament (its 100% test of what you can do with the cards in front of you, and theres no excuse of not hitting the right hands)
