Default Strumming

When strumming up and down, what fingers are hitting the bar?

I think I need to change what I am doing.

I hit down with my thumb and up with my forefinger. I sorta have a light grab to the strum bar.

Is a pick worth it?

yay managed to beat Lou 2nd try on expert. Whammy on the string of greens FTW. My ranking in career mode is in the 1500s right now. Need to work on that. But that was mostly just playing through career and not caring too much about scores.

Though I did manage a 3rd place score on a bonus song . Squeezefest yay

Thumb and forefinger are the way to go. Definitely don't use a pick.

Youtube is slowly starting to get GH3 videos.

Here's one showing tapping the TTFAF intro:

Do you not have to strum at all for some reason?

Only the first note, which he does with his elbow. The rest of the phrase is HO/PO. It took me like two hours but I can get 100% on slow using GT1T's tapping method. I suck so bad at elbow strumming that if I miss a note on full speed I can't recover and fail.

Sign me up for the senior league. I've never played, but I picked it up at Circuit City yesterday (they are throwing in a free guitar stand). Only drawback is that I have to wait until Christmas to play because it is a gift for the kids

play now when they aren't around...then give it to them as a Santa gift, which is why it's out of the box...
