The beds are wonderful, and it is nice to be able to come and go as you please from the room to the table.

Steamboatin, I'll be playing NLHE, probably 1/2, Saturday afternoon starting by 4:00 (probably earlier) and going until who knows when (probably 2 a.m. or later). I might take a dinner break, but I'll probably just eat at the table.

Blond (past shoulders and straight), blue/green eyes, thin, 39 but act 25

I'll look for the gray tweed hat!!!

If anyone else sees me, say hi. My name is Shannon. My card protector is a mini Tabasco bottle (or a silver/wood horsehead if I forget the bottle).

steamboatin, i am considering coming down for the circuit event at the end of October, but havent seen and event listing yet, do you know if one is out yet? i hail from the motor city and this is the closest tourney with multiple events and would like to try my hand at. they have been doing some heartland poker events at the majestic in gary, indiana, but it is just one event, and sattelites to the one event. i would like to buy into a couple of events and try some satellites to the bigger ones. dont get to many opportunities up here in detroit. 3 casinos and none are smart enough to line up a wpt or other major event. thanks...

Thank you for all your replies.

These two d.g.'s (degenerate gamblers) will be coming north on I-75 from Tennessee and then west on I-64 through Louisville.

I googled the city name of Elizabeth, Indiana and through a few links provided saw listings of hotels and motels in the area. These were mostly from commercial services trying to get one to make reservations through them.

Here is a very partial list:
The mileages are from a 3rd party website, and I have no idea if they're accurate. I'm sure mapquest would be at least if not more accurate.

If you don't mind swimming the Ohio river, otherwise is it a much longer drive. These distances have to be as the crow flies and not as the Degenerate Gambler drives.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. If you have your own Ultralight, it might work I recommend staying out of the Ohio, unless you are competing in the Ironman on Sunday!

Motel 6 in Georgetown this Saturday night is $49.99 plus tax. I'll be sleeping and showering there.

If you go through downtown Georgetown, there is a little Ice Cream stand on your right as you leave town. She makes good Gyros. She makes beer batter pub style fish and chips. I haven't tried the fish but those chips are the bomb!

If you drive the other direction and go under the Interstate, Polly's Freeze has good ice cream.

Stay away from these, as the area isn't the greatest:

Days Inn & Suites Louisville Southwest (approx. 4.4miles – 2 stars)
4051 Cane Run Road AAA approved
Louisville, KY 40216

Best Western Dixie Inn (approx. 4.6 miles – not rated)
1735 Stewart Avenue
Louisville, KY 40216

Holiday Inn Southwest (approx 5.0 miles – 3 stars)
4110 Dixie Highway
Louisville, KY 40216

Super 8 Motel Louisville/expo Center Area (approx. 7.8 miles – 2 stars)
101 Central Avenue
Louisville, KY 40209

-----------------------------------

These two are fine. I would recommend the Hampton over the Holiday Inn:

Hampton Inn New Albany (approx. 8.1 miles – not rated)
506 West Spring Street
New Albany, IN 47150

Holiday Inn Express Louisville-NW At New Albany, In (approx. 8.2 miles – 2 Stars)
411 West Spring Street
New Albany, IN 47150
National 888-HOLIDAY (888-465-4329)
Hotel Front Desk (812-945-2771)

Also make sure to take extra special care of the dealer named Tom.
