Wow, the mods in this forum really really suck. They lock far too many threads. This one in particular pissed me off

as overcoming this is a huge step towards becoming a winning ssnler.

yeah I saw that and was wondering what was up. Very useful discussion. Move it if you have to but locking it seems spewy.

Things which are not appropriate to start new threads about in uNL

- How good you play
- How good/bad you ran today
- How you're so unlucky
- Asking where you can get free stuff
- Asking if you can buy a database
- Asking how to use poker software
- Asking where the games are good
- Asking a question which has already been answered a million times

Ok, so where does that fall in with any of this stuff? Tilt management is honestly the number one thing to being a ssnl player imo. Threads of that nature should be common around here.

Don't play lower than 100nl with the intention of beating it. The rake is too high. The best advice I can give is to start beating 200+ 6m then start playing 100 nl hu.

pretty sick jk..

Was fooling around on stars 50NL 1-on-1 and villain was min-3betting me with 73o and limping the button with AKs. The games look real juicy if you can withstand the variance.

Sitting 117/182 at the end of hour 3 of the FTOPS.. I went from 7k at 600/1200 to 28.5k at the end of 800/1600 with no showdowns. Fun time.

Yeah there's some major variance, and you gotta table select well, but there are ppl out there who just spew money away.

I think the one thing about HU that took me far too long to learn was quitting when you don't have that much of an edge, so I'd get into a game with someone and after a few mins I could see that they weren't totally aweful, but I'd often keep on playing because of ego etc. Whereas now I just use the first line of everyone who I plays note to mark whether I should play them or not.
