i dont think its really that out there to inflate a pot with any two with position against a weak postflop player when they have completed the small blind.

But I also have to get a hand vs him, or he's not going anywhere most of the time. I leave the fancy stuff to the pros. Building pots with trash when deep vs calling stations not my idea of a good time.

but he won't hit the flop a lot of the time (i doubt he is calling when he doesnt pair with like queen or king high), and if he does, some of those times you will hit the best hand...the rest of the time you just give up.

I prefer to flop trips, turn 3rd nuts and value bet only slightly thin vs a badly played BPP. Works every time.

villain likely doesn't have a 9, so bet the biggest amount you think he'll call. also, i generally play more aggressively pre-flop and on the flop in situations like this, but your line might be acceptable depending on your image and how villain plays.
