v. good story Victor.

Anybody trying to justify why it's okay to take the money is dumb, delusional or both, there is really no wiggle room on this matter. If you know it's wrong and still do it, that's another situation but still pretty scummy.

I mean, I think it's stealing, but I would have done the same thing. Just man up and admit you stole it and quit trying to pass it off.

Its pretty much a case of just being selfish, which isn't immoral or illegal.

OP's friend cares about having the 1k more than he cares about the casino having the 1k.

FWIW, anytime you have to rationalize something, it's wrong. If you have to search for reasons why it's *not* wrong, then it's wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]

you're wrong. can you give me reasons why you're not wrong? oh, it means you're still wrong

BTW, the obv move is to go to roulette and put it all on a colour. If you hit, you return the k, if you don't, casino gets their money back; win/win.

After reading this, I conclude this is clearly the best option.

(tho after counting it im fairly sure it was short, likely the amount he put in, no biggie.)

This is a flaw in your argument. If OP gives back $5, $55, or $555 of the $1000 he took, does that make things right?

[ QUOTE ]
he did it bc it was right. and he could sleep better

[/ QUOTE ] he did what he felt was right to rectify the situation and get the guilt off his conscience.
