Default Opening from SB with weak holding

Bellagio 15-30, Villain is a little to loose preflop, and pretty bad postflop, much worse postflop that preflop.

Hero opens from SB with Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Villain 3-bets, hero calls.

Flop Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Villain bets, hero raises, villain 3-bets, hero calls.

Turn 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero calls.

River 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Villain bets, hero calls.

My thinking throughout the hand:
Preflop - I realize this hand is pretty mediocre, but it is certainly close vs. a random and I think this opponent is folding some hands here. I prefer raising to try and take the lead in the hand. I would fold before open-completing, which may have been that best play. I'm obviously not folding once I get three bet.
Flop - Check raise is standard, when I get 3-bet I think I still am ahead of him enough to call down at his point.
Turn - nothing really interesting, still ahead enough to call down I think.
River - Horrible card, I call getting 9-1 thinking he may be betting this river with JJ-99 and AK, AJ, etc.

Comments on any street appreciated.

muck preflop and dont push these insanely small edges. its not a tourney, no need to accumulate chips.

aside from that id muck river.

i wouldn't have c/r the flop unless you knew exactly what to do on the river should something like that come out...

if he would indeed bet those hands then i would call.. but it'd be pretty hard for anybody but the wackiest to bet that river...

I'm fine with it. In a 2 chip 4 chip structure you can fold, but I'm not folding Q high in a 2-3 structure. Depending on the opponent you might be able to just complete then bet any flop, but your line is fine.

Whatever you do after the flop, don't fold. You have top pair in a blind battle. His flop 3-betting range is much bigger than top pair.

I'm fine with all streets.

Depending on what ways villian is bad postflop I may just complete the blind.

I just complete here preflop unless he's going to raise 100% in which case I raise. Flop I 4bet because people get offended when you c/r them in blind battles and 3bet you with any pair, any draw, over card/cards, and sometimes any two.

River is a horrible horrible card for us as played. If we had put in the last bet on the flop and kept the lead the whole way I'd still value bet. I guess c/c because he's stupid and hope for the best but I think we can almost fold.

I was at the table for this hand. I think you forgot an important detail regarding how he was stacking his chips. Very unique manner.

Anyway, against this dofus a Q is the nuts and I would have taken a more agressive line- 4 bet the flop/lead turn. Or call the 3 bet, c/r turn. I prefer the later.

Other thoughts:

1.) You play goot.
2.) Don't talk to the fish during the hand, it only gives away information.
3.) When you raise QQ in early position and I re-raise you, QQ is the nuts and you lose equity by not 4 betting. If you remember, we both played this hand bad post-flop IMO.

Muck pre-flop is simply awful in s 2/3 chip structure.

Folding the river against this guy is awful as well. He is bad/aggro.
