Default Duplicate Poker Legal, Real Poker Not?

I am just wondering what you guys think about the apparent legality of "Duplicate Poker." (details HERE in another 2+2 post)

To me, this game is a crap shoot, yet there have been articles in CardPlayer (HERE) and elsewhere talking about how it's viewed as legal because it's a game of skill.

What a slap in the face to poker, IMO, that a ridiculous lottery version of poker is being viewed as a skill game while real poker is "gambling." Ugh...

Am I alone in this sentiment?

I actually checked it out the other day. Not a lot of people, not a lot of games. Reading about it, seemed like not a lot of fun, either.

But if it takes somebody making this site for people to see the ridiculous stance of the US Government, that's fine with me.
