Re: What is My Net Karma
[ QUOTE ]
I'm afraid I would have said something like "Shut the [censored] up and get through this door. I have someplace to be". [/ QUOTE ] You sound like you have anger issues. |

Re: What is My Net Karma
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Taking friends out for a night on the town and footing the bill does not get me positive karma? [/ QUOTE ] This depends. Do you expect the same in return? Do you tell others about your generosity to be patted on the back? In my estimation, the true spirit of giving requires that it is given from the heart, with no expectation of receiving something in return. The act of giving is enough reward. When the intention is pure and good, the universe will reward you. [/ QUOTE ] I'm only telling people that don't k now me to find out where I stand. People that I went out with Friday night have no idea that I paid for it. They think our workplace did because it was semi work related. |

Since you're super defensive, I assume you started this thread assuming that everyone would say "$400?! ZOMG who cares about that old lady??!?"

Re: What is My Net Karma
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] you sound like a prick, so i'll say that overall your karma is in the red. [/ QUOTE ] To my defense I was already pissed and didn't feel like dealing with an old lady that talks to herself. If she tried to strike up a conversation with me I'm afraid I would have said something like "Shut the [censored] up and get through this door. I have someplace to be". By the way. Her conversations are pretty much just her telling you that she has wet meat in her socks. [/ QUOTE ] The way I look at it is that to earn karma you have to do something that defines you as more caring than the masses. Tons of people would pay for a night of drinks with friends, but how many would be willing to hold the door for what sounds like a lonely, possibly crazy cleaning lady? |

Re: What is My Net Karma
Did the long way end up taking longer then it would have to just hold the door?
