Default Is $55 for Poker Tracker worth it?

I'm a very new online poker player. I've been playing Party since the beginning of February with an initial bankroll of $100 and have built it up to $300 exclusively playing $5 SNG NLHE. I'm considering buying Poker Tracker but before I do I'd like some feedback from those of you who have used the program extensively. Just what advantages have you gained from Poker Tracker? What makes it a $55 program and do you feel you've gotten better with it? Thanks a lot for your feedback.

It is worth it if you play enough to get the benefits out of it. Keep in mind that you get poker office for free if you sign up for Empire poker or noble through their website.

Like about how much playing are you talking about? I've played approximately 140 SNG tourneys in the last 3 weeks and plan to continue at that pace.

well it isn;t that useful at low stakes for tracking opponents as there are so many of them; it is moderately useful for looking at your own play but you will need to filter by players in the hand; it is great for tracking your results..

if you ever want to play ring it's an absolute must along with a HUD called PAHUD - PO2 is behind in terms of real-time HUD to get a read on opponents at present but you can get it for free if you sign up to Noble Poker thru the PO2 website

Pokertracker has gotten lots of attention for tracking your opponents, especially on this forum. However, Pokertracker is also incredibly important for improving your game.

You need to improve your game. Buy PokerTracker.

I would get Poker office throught their deals going to other websites. It is important to have *a* poker program, but having poker tracker in particular is not extremeley important if you have lots of opponents ($5 SNG is a good example of this). Also, given that 55 bucks is more than 1/6 of your br, I would say that you might want to wait until you're playing at higher stakes or have a larger bankroll. I didn't buy pokertracker until I turned 200 into ~2000 because I simply couldn't devote that much money for a tracking program.

I would wait or, do as others have suggested, sign up for a poker site and get the program for free.

Id suggest getting Poker Tracker through Poker Source Online. Go clear a signup bonus and you can get it for free.

full value just in its worth to improving your game. that said, the combo of PT + poker ace makes decisions much easier. rather than having a rough feel for someone being "loose" or "aggressive" or whatever, you have mathematical precision that complements other reads. it has definitely paid for itself in this way in guiding my play. we're always looking for edges in this game and the mere fact that not everyone has this is an amazing one.

you really should not be without it.
