Default Watching cable/sattelite TV from your computer

Ok, so I've heard a little bit about how there are ways to watch TV on your computer. So I decided to do a little research on it and according to this website, they have tried dozens of these sites and only two are good. The thing is the way that site is written it could also be a scam for all I know, stupid internet.

This site and this one are the two thay said on that website were top notch. I can't find any real info on these sites though and am looking for legit testamonials and not the corny cliches used on the site. FWIW, both sites seem too good to be true for the cost. Which is $70 and $50, respectively.

Can somebody please set me straight? Are these sites all scams?

The first one looks like a free one that was posted here a few months ago. It worked, but it was a pretty youtube quality stream.

Yes, i have tvuplayer.
you don't get many relevant channels but it's okay I guess because it's free.

On their forums they mention in one of the stickies that there are different places that are charging to link you to the download and not to fall for it.
You can just get it for free.

Obviously any place that gives a price-tag of $50 for this is not to be trusted.

I just checked the link to the original thread where everyone is raving about it.
I'm not getting nearly that many channels on TVU as everyone was talking about then.

My hunch is that many of the feeds got shutdown not unlike how some of the cooler music videos were taken down from YouTube.

I'm not getting all the ESPN's and stuff like that on TVUPlayer for example.

Anyone have other good choices for satellite-TV on the internet and I'm definitely interested. Willing to pay. Preferrably legal.

I know that NHL lawyers contacted TVU and told 'em to stop airing hockey games. As soon as something is well-known, it gets taken down.
