Default Value bet this river or check behind? NLCASH

Villian is a pretty big donkey. Floats everything, never folds preflop. Calls down with any pair. He has 110.00 left on the river.

I think you answered your own question in the reads that you gave. "Villain calls down with any pair" So value bet If he shows up with a backdoor flush draw or some two pair, shrug and move on, it happens

I disagree. You may get called by worse here, but why bother betting in this spot when you will be able to value bet him to death with second pair or better on a less scary board sometime in the next ten hands? If he calls down with any pair, he may call down with two pair, set, straight, or flush. Just my two cents.

I shove here, but remember that even the biggest donks are afraid of a four straight board. So is he really that big donkey to call you down with a jack here?

If he's as loose as you say then it's an easy bet imo. However, even a donk has to be somewhat worried about this board if he has less than top pair. I would still bet most of the time though.

Am I the only one who thinks that betting here is a bad idea?

I dont think he is calling a bet larger than say 3/5 of the pot with a single pair so I would bet/fold that amount if have an appropriate (agressive) image - otherwise I would check behind.

Play around with pokerstove and you should probably get your answer .

There are some donkeys who will call you with top pair even with a four to a straight board .
