Re: Sports tickets futures market.
That's interesting. I wonder if it would be profitable to look for teams that for whatever reason, whether they're underrated at the beginning of the season, have an easy schedule that has them with an inflated record at midseason, etc, buy those options, and sell them later to actual fans of the team for an inflated price. Something to look for.

Re: Sports tickets futures market.
This crap pisses me off so much. Tickets to playoff and championship games should not ever be sold to people before the teams are known. Season ticket holders deserve those tickets and are willing to pay for them, but instead the leagues sell them off to legitimized scalpers who mark them up drastically.

They are not given to scalpers who drive up the price. I have used Ticket Reserve in the past and it was the only way I was able to see a game with tickets at face value. It is an options market for tickets.

Re: Sports tickets futures market.
How are season ticket holders not getting playoff tickets?
Championship game tickets are often sold before teams are known. Superbowl, final four etc. Whats your problem with the system? |

Re: Sports tickets futures market.
It's not like this site sells ALL the tickets to the big game. They probably have a good number of tickets, but I doubt it's that high.
