Default Best way to extract with NUTS?

Apologies if this is just std, but I couldn't help feeling I could've got more. Is river raise to big or is turn raise preferable? bets sizes, etc?

No stats on VILLAIN. He doesnt play anything trashy, his actions seem quite straightforward. We've yet to play a pot together

Full Tilt (6 max) $1/$2

UTG $80
HERO $194
BTN $470.95
SB $14.20)
VILLAIN (BB)$513.30

HERO is dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG folds, HERO raises to $7
BTN folds, SB calls $6, VILLAIN calls $5

*** FLOP *** (3players)
J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks, VILLAIN checks, HERO checks

*** TURN ***
7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks, VILlAIN bets $16, HERO calls $16, SB folds

*** RIVER ***
9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

VILLAIN bets $36

HERO raises to $171, and is all in

ViLLAIN requests TIME...VILLAIN folds

Uncalled bet of $135 returned to HERO
HERO wins the pot ($122)

I'd start by not folding to your own bet

Also betting the flop/raising the turn would prob be a good start, stop slow-playing donk!

Always bet this flop plz, for obvious reasosn. Why did you check it?

I rasie the turn too. He won't fold two pair+, and is paying with a big spade most of the time. If he has just one small pair, you are not going to get much out of him on the river. Also, would be awfull to see the board pair on the river and be put to a big decision.

Well the SB was short stacked so this hand was basically HU. I though it unlikely the BB had made a hand on this board, and I didnt want to make him fold.

I hoped my check represented some weakness and even if he turn didnt improve I could get value from a bluff.

As you say I should have riased turn, but again unless he's made trips of has an overpair I cant see a hand that calls a raise on turn.

bet the flop, if u check the flop please raise the turn, as played ur raise just looks very much like a slowplayed flush, so dont raise as much on river

if you slowplay you should have a reason. You gotta have a very good read. Dont slowplay because 'omg if i bet they might fold'. most of the time these slowplays are so transparent.

So if you don't want to bet the flop or raise the turn, when are you going to make the pot big enough to win all his chips?
