Default Another is this collusion thread.... @the bike tonight

OK.

5/5NL game at the bike. Its like 3:30 AM. A man and his wife/girlfriend sat down like an hour ago at the most. I noticed they would step away from the game and have like 30 second mini conferances a couple times. I have a Huuge stack for this table.

I raise one off of cutoff wife calls to my left husband guy calls from BB. 3 way action. Flop is all diomonds. Dude checks I continuation with top pair cause at least the woman is playing VERY tight and who knows what the guy has. So I bet like 50 she raises to 150 he ends up going all in for maybe 3 something at the most. Or maybe she was short or whatever but between the two of them effective stacks were like barely more than 100 on top of her raise. I of course fold. Then she FOLDS! I'm thinking WTF does this tight ass player raise with that she folds for 100 more. Maybe it was because she was like whatever its OUR money anyways i'll just fold. Maybe she was on a stone cold bluff. Maybe she had 2 pair and put him on a flush. My gut tells me they squeezed me out. I am pissed as [censored].

What do you guys think... Sorry for the incoherent post I just got back from a 12 hour session and its 430am.

I don't know if it matters but the guy in question is a celebrity. Or was or whatever. He's famous and likely very rich unless he has problems with gambling, drugs, spending or whatever. Very successful guy in the 80's and 90's. I'm not sure if that makes it any less likely that they colluded though. Rich people steal all the time.

IMHO, collusion takes more than one hand to prove. It's more like a pattern of actions. There are several non-collusion explanations for their behavior. If it happens a few more times, then you might have something.

no... I just know there is a good chance i was being paranoid. I see no reason to accuse someone of something without proof. I still wanted opinions though cause at the time i was like 90% sure it was collusion. 20 minutes later not so sure at all.

Who cares who it was. Anyways this is what happened next (read whole thread for context) and he was a villain in the first hand so i got my money back.

what if they BOTH had nothing... would that prove it? Hypothetically.. what if you had a 1-time per month casino ''i call shenanigans'' these people are cheating. Let me see both their hole cards. What if they both had nothing on this flop would that be enough to prove collusion by itself? I mean I was DEFINATELY asking to see both peoples cards if she called the 100 more all in. (which i never ever do unless i suspect sketchiness which i almost never do probably partly because i am too oblivious to cheaters)

I really know very little about how people go about cheating in hold em in this regard so i guess i don't know when to freak out about it.

if there's more than 1 table of 5/5 going, ask for a table change or ask for the for the 2 of them to be separated. I hate playing with a couple at the table.

She was most likely a beginner and he was just giving general advice about the game.

She was most likely a beginner and he was just giving general advice about the game. And one hand doesnt prove anything.
