Men the Master of Sleaze
More dirt about Men 'the Sleazy' Master, this time during this years WSOP, as recounted by top Dutch player Peter Dalhuijsen (PD):
It is the PL Hold'em tournament of july 11th, deep into the tournie: PD limps w A7s, flops a flushdraw against MtM. PD bets the pot (2400), MtM from early position checkraises all-in with the QJ flushdraw, PD calls and hits the nutflush on the Turn and doubles thru "The Master".
,,And then I got bad beat", writes PD in his blog: PD had 5800 chips left when Men (who covered) checkraised him all-in. It was the last hand before the break. Men "counts out" 5800 chips and throws them in the middle, dealer shoves pot to PD, players start leaving table, including Men. Peter counts his chips, and comes up 1.800 short. Dealer tells him he is right, Men is recalled to the table. He refuses to give the 1.800 he owes, citing a rule that states the hand is over after the pot is pushed to a player by the dealer. "He pulled an old Vietnamese exchange trick on me", writes Dalhuijsen, who proceeded to finish just out of the money.
