oh ok i know who it is, yeah hes the best/tightest up front for sure

i think the answer lies in who the shortstack is. vs the wide range shortstacks i call and vs the small range shortstacks like socuties i fold cause of the combined probability that utg+1 and shorty has you beat.

Names, we need names!
Besides that, I agree with Daut44.
I wouldn't call with 88 but definately with JJ, I assume that unless this shortstacker is ultra tight it must be profitable to call there..

9 handed game on stars I have 5k, this is from 2 weeks ago and have no hand history

I open to 200 in UTG, best player in the game also the tightest utg +1 calls this means 66+ AK+ probably. I am a very tight player and he knows what ranges are profitable. The co gets it all in whos a short stack with 1100, can I call here with jacks? What is the best you need to call with and shove with?

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I play 6-max, not full ring.

Can someone let me know the difference between 66 and 22 regarding putting his range on 66+ instead of 22+ plz?

utg raise and a call opens up SS range though, the 1/5th of a stack turns the range of even a tight SS into something like 44+ AQo+ KQs maybe even AJs and sometimes

but you're still [censored] cus you are gonna be oop in a bloated pot with someone who is going to outplay you postflop if you just flat

this just shows how lame shorting is now, 6 months ago h@llingol would call here with 32s
