Brad Penny\'s 2nd half
Obvious fantasy question.
I don't watch enough pitching, and don't know the specifics about pitching, peripherals, team success, etc. Has Penny actually improved his mechanics, or is he gonna start pitching badly again in the 2nd half? I'm sure he might be prone to some falloff, but curious to know if he's actually a better pitcher than previous years. |

Re: Brad Penny\'s 2nd half
i don't know anything about his mechanics or whatever but he has been inducing more grounders this year (which is always good). he has been a little lucky in regards to allowing homers, but other than that his stats appear normal.
also hes not a 'bad' pitcher to begin with. more of a better than average. |

Re: Brad Penny\'s 2nd half
I thought the same thing, but he actually does look better. I think he overthrew at the beginning of seasons, with his fastball in the high 90s at the beginning of the year, then would get hurt and it would dip significantly. He is consistently in the low to mid 90s with his fastball, is still pitching well, I would hold on to him. I would trade him only if I got really good players for him, dont do what I did and trade him a month ago for bill hall and freddy sanchez.

Re: Brad Penny\'s 2nd half
His babip in the second half last year was .365, so obviously that will repeat itself.

Re: Brad Penny\'s 2nd half
He's going to revert a bit to the mean but he's not going to get destroyed or anything
