Default quick question

a little puzzled to what one would/should do here

in a showdown after a player calls, and opponent/opponents insta-mucks

do we have to show?? when they just mucked after just being called...

Last live hand gets the pot. You don't have to show to claim the pot, but you do if somebody invokes IWTSTH.

if youre playing small stakes or if its a game among friends, i would just show your hand - not because you have to but because youre a nice guy. the pot is yours, though, regardless of if you show

I wouldn't unless someone asked me to show it or I got the feeling that my friends were not happy with me not showing it and it was a friendly game.

Agree with above except the showing on request part. Personally I don't agree with this. The rule is designed to prevent collusion, not satisfy somebodies curiosity, so in my home games it is not enforced. Now if I suspected collusion thats a whole different ball of wax....

Of course at my home games even though we don't always show at some point during the night we usually end up talking about prior hands and telling each other what we had. We're weird, what else can I say..lol

Well, yeah, that assumes you support IWTSTH. It's never come up at my game, but I wouldn't allow it to satisfy curiosity. If someone thinks there's cheating, s/he can come to me.

No, you don't have to show and unless they're pretty strict about the IWTSTH rule, i'd ignore requests to show it... with Rottersod's caveat in mind, of course.
