Default Step 3 PCA sat (75+7) - Gaging a winning player\'s range

First post in STTF, hope this is acceptable.

Villian in this hand is MrCasino. playing 23/13/3 over 90 hands in my DB from previous sessions included.

He is the biggest winner @ the tbl (~23k profit on PS). I considered not playing when i saw he was registered, but i didnt wanna be a little bitch so here we are.

We have played in a step 2 together 2 days ago, although i am not sure how much attention he is putting in to these since he asked for the table to join his step 4.

I know from watching a few of the step 5 and 6s is that casino is a regular in them. I on the other hand am playing way over my head.

Onto the hand, 3rd thru 5th replays step 3 and the top 2 advance to step 4.

UTG (t1355)
UTG+1 (t1755)
CO (t1970)
Button (t1280)
SB (t2960)
Hero (t4180)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">UTG folds</font>, <font color="gray">UTG+1 folds</font>, <font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="gray">Button folds</font>, SB calls t100, Hero checks

Flop: (t400) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets t300</font>, <font color="red">SB raises to t1000</font>

Do i have enough equity to shove this? Is it worth the risk in this structure? Is it the proper way to play since 3rd -5th are essentially a freeroll?

Should i fold and avoid confrontation with another big stack who is clearly better than i am? This is the reason i didnt raise preflop also.

Thanks for ur help.

Eh, I feel like most hands he would have flopped huge with, he would have raised preflop. If I had to guess, I'd guess his range is somewhat weighted towards draws so I'd probably just stick it in... even if he has a made hand you have a flush draw, a backdoor straight draw, and an ace that could give you some additional outs. Also notice he raised to an amount that will allow him to be able to fold and be in OK shape relative to the rest of the field.

Well this thread doesnt seem to be too popular so giving results shouldnt hurt.

As you can imagine i lost the hand. It seems like no one posts hands they won anyway =] It wasnt meant to be a bad beat post or w/e, just making sure im not spewing too hard

Mostly for the reasons wiggs said i jammed only to be insta called by QJ no club and i whiffed even after turning an OESD =[

I think I would actually fold here givin the pot odds and chip stack. A shove would be my next favorite option though.
