Not counting the years the Rose Bowl was the NC game, they took B12 teams in 2003 and 2005, even when there was an eligible Pac 10 team in 2005 (Cal). [/ QUOTE ] IIRC in 2003 Iowa was picked by the Orange Bowl before the Rose got to pick and in 2005 Texas and Utah Automatically qualified which left Cal out.
