You might as well ask why is anyone playing Benyamine, Farha and Chan... today's hero is tomorrow's fallen idol. There's always a new kid comes into town and gives the old guard a beating. Before long, Brian will be the old guard himself.

You quoted a bunch of old guys who were never good on the internets.

If you said PA was an old guard now it would make more sense, albiet that even mention of such would make your head asplode.

I'd really be interested to see Aba play ppl like Reese and Doyle. Do you think he has a huge edge on them? I assume since he can at least keep up with Ivey that he could beat them too.

online he would have a huge edge on them...i think he might have a live edge in NL Holdem even...but chip would never agree to that game...and in a mixed format and any limit game chip is probably favorite

I'm completely blanking, did he even sit at the same table with Doyle? If so were there any hands between them, because for some reason I don't remember him sitting at the same table as Doyle.

Reese is a limit player, aba would destroy him at NLHE or PLO

Doyle probably an decent underdog at both PLO and NLHE but has a better chance at hanging in there

I think Lindgren takes over from Doyle and Aba from Matusow at the same time so they never play.
