Default $650 Sat to the PCA I have an overpair vs. MrTimCaum

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t400/t800
(Ante: t75)
8 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t20319
MrTimCaum t22370
Hero: t18598
MP2: t12618
CO: t13982
BigEgypt: t45157
SB: t14194
BB: t27720

At this point there are no real sat implications. I have been playing pretty laggy and not getting to showdown much. I haven't tangled with him at all. I don't know if MrTimCaum knows this is me, but he might.

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG folds, MrTimCaum raises to t2000, Hero calls t2000 (pot was t3800), 2 folds, BigEgypt calls t2000 (pot was t5800), 2 folds.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t7800, 3 players)
MrTimCaum checks, Hero checks, BigEgypt checks.

Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (t7800, 3 players)
MrTimCaum bets t4350, Hero calls t4350 (pot was t12150), BigEgypt folds.

River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t16500, 2 players)
MrTimCaum is all-in t15945, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: t15945 returned to UTG+1.

Results:
Final pot: t16500

Seems fine, I'd prboably just bet/call flop though but I really doubt he ever takes this line as a bluff as played.

I don't mind bet calling the flop, but it feels like my hand is almost a bluff, whenever I get shoved on I'm toast.

re raise preflop, bet/call the flop , and as played probably call the river, could even be value betting worse (name sounds familiar), and most people arent tricky enough to check here with an overpair he either has 55 or air imo, if u think he bluffs at all u have to look him up getting 3-1 odds

I think you played the hand optimally vs me pudge, nice fold, I had aces. Was looking to crai on the flop since stack size/pot size was perfect when two laggy players are left to act. If I lead the flop here it's blindingly obvious that I have a huge hand. I wasn't worried about it checking through since I'm pretty much never folding at any point.

I was pretty sure once you called the turn you had 8's through J's or a boat, can't really see you with any other hand there, so obv I'm just shoving the river for value.

edit: also, I should mention that I didn't know that was you, but I had definitely noticed you were playing pretty agressive and picking spots well, so I knew you weren't some idiot.

FWIW I really like your line because I usually bet this flop and once I bet the flop and you shove I cry and call. Also your check doesn't look huge since you will do it with AK/AQ.
Edit: How rigged is it that when I play good and fold overpairs I end up bubbling.

i like just shoving preflop.

he's only going to call with JJ+,AK. if he calls looser or tighter it actually helps us anyways. he's probably opening 10-15% but only calling with top 3% of hands, so we pick up the 3800 in the pot 70-80% of the time. The other 20-30% of the time we aren't in too bad shape with 33.65% equity.

i dont feel like trying to factor in someone behind us picking up a huge hand but i doubt it wud swing a shove all the way to -ev.

you've got my calling range right (top 3% AA-JJ, AK), but I'm not opening ANYWHERE near 10% in that spot with that stack size. I think anything over 8% is pretty suicidal unless you have the most weak-tight table on the face of the [censored] planet.
