Only 2 \"big\" factors in MBA admission?
for MBA admission I know that the biggest factor is work experience/how long you worked, how successful you were, blah blah. The other thing is of course the GMAT, but what else? Do EC's in college matter at all? I know recs also only matter very little, and I heard is somewhat important as long as you don't have a 2.5. Am I missing anything here?

Re: Only 2 \"big\" factors in MBA admission?
Essays matter a TON for top tier scoills. Everyone did something interesting and scored well in undergrad/GMAt so your essay can really push you over the edge. Most of the top schools get people from similar bankgrounds- banking, consulting, etc. Therefore, it would help to differentiate yourself as a non-profit type etc.
it also matter swhat concetration you intend to apply for- i.e. there is more room in marketing than finance. |
