Default How good do Windows progs run on a windows emulator?

I am thinking of trading in the PC I have built for a new top of the line MacPro. How well will progs like Stars and Poker Tracker run on Windows Virtual Machine? Does anyone do this?

As long as you can allocate enough memory to the VM and don't run a bunch of [censored] on the host OS, they should be nearly identical to physical hardware. Maybe lose 2-5% performance on disk performance, but in terms of raw number crunching - there will practically be no difference.

also, OP, you can run boot camp and not have to emulate or virtualize anything.
