Re: Catching a bluff with 99 400NL
These spots are just 'meh whatever'. I think he's vb'ing/bluffing an equal % of the time, I know I would be. Either call/fold is fine I think.
Raising definitely is not an option here in my book, it just screams bluff and would prob be called down pretty light. |

Call first time so he thinks you're a station. Once he thinks you're a station fold.

Fold first time so he thinks you're a nit. Once he thinks you're a nit call. [/ QUOTE ] you see, it doesnt really matter what you do, as long as you keep track of what was going on lately and how you are preceived. |

Re: Catching a bluff with 99 400NL
i think i might call this
but i would have 3-bet pre, nines is just too big of a hand 5-handed, esp. vs. an aggressive stealer. Don't really see why keeping UTG in the hand is so important with a hand like nines, esp. since youre gonna be oop vs both of them the entire hand edited for typo |

Re: Catching a bluff with 99 400NL
Villain's range is wide here. Your hand is pretty much face up so the K is a great bluff card for villain. I'd call and expect to see ace high, Q9s, 66, etc a lot.

Re: Catching a bluff with 99 400NL
I call. He probably spiked a K or he's bluffing. I don't think he's value betting something stronger than AK or weaker than Kx given his turn check.
