How to register for $5k HU Sngs:

1) When you open the Pokerstars lobby, enter your username and password. If they both match then you are ready to go.

2) Go to the 'Sit and Go' tab.

3) Go to the 'Heads-Up' Tab.

4) The $5k Heads-Up games are right at the top of the screen. Now double click on your desired $5k Heads-Up game and the tournament lobby will pop up.

5) On the bottom left of the tournamnet lobby, click register.

Now this part is very important, so read it carefully.

6) When you have clicked register, you will recieve a message from PokerStars. It says:

" Note: if you disconnect or leave while registered for this event, a player can come to the table, blind you off, and win $5000 of your money. It will not be refunded. Please be sure to unregister from this event before stepping away from your computer or disconnecting"

7) Once you have read this message thoroughly, click the OK button.

8)Once again a new window will pop up asking you to confirm registration nad $5100 deducted from your account. Click OK if you are ready to play.

9) Good luck at the tables, retard.

[ QUOTE ]

We make a living by making better decisions than our opponents. This opponent made a bad decision.

[/ QUOTE ]

And there's no difference between exploiting the bad decisions an opponent makes in a poker game and exploiting the mistakes/bad decisions they make unrelated to the actual poker-skill part of the game?

Tilt, playing above your bankroll or otherwise playing where and when you shouldn't, can all be considered as part of the skill needed to play poker and it's ok to take advantage of someone who makes a bad decision of this nature. Accidentally signing up for a sng 100x your usual buyin(if indeed that was what happened) is, imho, a mistake of a totally different nature.

Of course there is nothing unlawful or rulebreaking about taking advantage of this situation, but labeling it as ok because it's part of the better decision making good players make, seems fairly far fetched.

THis could be as ifihaditall said, a angle-shoot. For example, he could of sat in stalled it whilst getting support in hope of chipping up a bit then beg for a chip chop when stars support comes in and he has a few extra $ for the deal.

Owned.

IfIHadItAll was merciful in offering a chip chop. As it's been said, he shouldn't have to pay for the kid's mistakes. Let's not forget that in playing poker, we are working to take other people's money. Allowing a deal at all for someone in over their head (through their own irresponsibility) was an act of compassion.
