Quads lose to Full House in AC this past weekend

Takes two cards to win the hand!

Board has 777KA
Player 1 has Kings full.
Player two has the 4th 7.

Showdown. Kings are shown. Player two shows a 7and tosses the other card in the muck.

Dealer shoves the $80 pot to the Kings full. HUGE verbal battle ensues. Subsequently player 2 is asked to leave!

I saw a lot of this in AC this weekend. Is this new and exclusive to AC? I have been playing poker there for 3 or 4 years, and I have never seen that before. I have shown one card many times and won the pot. This is the first time the dealer had to yell at me about it. The dealers I had would tell you to get the card out of the muck and turn it over, which was nice of them. I still don't see the point of it.

The opponent called. By doing so, he has purchased the right to see his opponent's hole cards.

If you don't show the cards (all of them, because that's what the paying player is entitled to see), you don't get the money. Simple.

You don't get to pick and choose which hole cards to show him. He paid to see them all. If you don't want to show them all, throw your hand away, and concede the money.

In my case, I called to see his cards, and was still told I had to turn the other card over.

Also, do you have one, two, or three cards?
Are your cards 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ?
Finally, it's the rule. Get used to it, act like a player who knows what he is doing, and show both cards

In order to lay claim to the pot, you must show both cards.

Then use the second reasoning. (that you have to prove you have a legal hand)

Them's the rules. If a casino wasnt following that in the past then they must of been lax.

What's the big deal about not showing the other card anyway? You're not on TV, and it's not some kind of home game. Normal protocal is to just show both cards to take down the pot.

That's fine with me, I just have never seen this rule enforced before my trip this weekend. I have shown only one card several times in the past and won the pot.

It's not a big deal at all. It was just a force of habit for me, from home games, I'm sure. I was just surprised to see them enforcing it all of a sudden.
