Default New HDTV/360 Issues Question

So i hooked up my new HDTV and my 360 using Psyclone Component cables. I am getting sound but no picture. I also tried the old video cables and came across the same issue. The HDMI from the cable seems to work fine. Im sure this is something simple but i have no idea what it is.

Unless I am losing it, component cables are video only, unless it has 5 cables instead of 3, for RCA audio.

If you have optical capability you can send optical to your TV or stereo receiver that supports it.

It has 5 wires. 3 for Video 2 for Audio.

You either plugged it in the wrong place or you have the wrong channel on.

1. If it was wrong channel how could i hear but not see?

2. HD switch? If that was the case, wouldn't the Video cables have worked?

On the cable that goes from the 360 to the TV, there is a little switch on the end closest to the 360. It switches from the composite out to the component out. I think that's what he meant by HD switch.

PS, doesn't the 360 still come with component cables? Mine did, so I didn't have to get an aftermarket cable.

on ur tv, u have to plug the audio cables into the correct place corresponding to the component cables...sometimes they are right next to each other, sometimes not...look on back of tv to see if it specifies/draws boxes around area...otherwise look in manual

Mine did come with Component but back then my puppy ate the component and the Video.

I believe everything is plugged in right, its plugged in as the back of the TV asks. I even tried the opposite way in case i was reading it wrong and that did not work either.

oh u have sound, not picture

well are u sure u have tv on the right input? the component likely shares audio with some other inputs, so u can get sound on multiple inputs but only picture if on the right input
